Youth Leadership Program

This is a program directed by the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland designed to help high school aged youth (Grades 9-11) takes steps towards being leaders in their parishes. YLP events held at St. Michael's will take place on Sundays from 1pm - 5pm on:

Camp Success 

The Church of St. Michael & All Angels sponsored Camp Success(See you Next Year - 2018). Camp includes breakfast, lunch, reading, mathematics, positive social skills, recreation, cultural enrichment, arts and crafts, and field trips. 

Cost: $ 70.00 per week OR $ 420.00 for six weeks with $50 Registration Fee (non-refundable)

Anti-Racism Workshop for Teens 

Youth Activities (Pre-School - 5th Grade)

Most of our Youth Activities are planned through our Church School. Click here to see our "2008 Historical Tour" scrapbook. During Sunday School on January 16, 2011, the children studied Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. using materials from the display below and celebrated his birthday. Please check back regularly for updates.

Middle School Activities (6th - 8th Grades)

Our Middle School students often participate in Youth Activities planned through the Church School or participate in activities sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland. This is also the age where children express an interest in serving on the Altar.

Scheduled Middle School Activities

  • Food, Fun and Fellowship! -- The St. Michael and All Angels Youth Ministry is growing! Please click here to view our flyer.
    SMAA Youth Group will be held for all Youth, grades 6-12 in the Undercroft Sunday School room, 12:00pm-1:00pm, every third Sunday of the month. Youth Group is designed to:
    - Provide creative ways for the youth to explore their faith
    - Provide a comfortable environment for the youth to learn about God
    - Reflect and discuss, how God fits into their everyday lives.

High School Activities (9th - 12th Grades)

Our High School Students often assist in chaperoning during the Youth Activities planned through the Church School or participate in activities sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of Maryland. This age group preforms the more intricate Acolyte duties. If interested in serving on the Altar, contact a member of the Acolyte Committee (click here). This is also the common age group for confirmation classes (click here).
